Hi @nishantwrp,

I’ve added a scheduled GitHub Actions workflow that updates the Joplin plugin framework monthly and creates a pull request only when changes are detected.

The workflow:

• Runs on the 1st of every month (UTC)

• Can be triggered manually

• Avoids using --force to prevent overwriting local modifications

• Includes change detection to prevent empty PRs

• Uses concurrency control to avoid overlapping runs

Let me know if you’d prefer the workflow to also execute tests before creating the PR, or if you'd like a different schedule.

Hi @nishantwrp,

I’ve updated the workflow and verified the behavior locally.

Key fixes included:

• Replacing npm ci with npm install --legacy-peer-deps to avoid peer dependency failures during automation.
• Adding an explicit change-detection step using git diff --quiet so the PR step only runs when actual framework updates occur.
• Adding delete-branch: true to prevent branch conflicts on subsequent runs.
• Improving the commit message and PR title for clarity.

I also simulated the workflow locally by running yo joplin --update and verifying that the PR step would trigger correctly when changes are detected and skip when there are none.

All existing tests pass locally.

Please let me know if you'd prefer the workflow to run additional checks before creating the PR.
