#1390 was fixed in 25.3.0 but is now broken.

Not sure exactly, but 25.3.0 was working

Stopped working in version:
Not sure exactly, but is broken in 26.1.0.

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Identical to #1390, but upgrade ts-jest, jest and typescript to latest.

Expected behavior

Changes to type definitions should be detected (failing to compile where appropriate).

indeed I see this stopped working in 25.5.1. I also checked between 25.5.0 and 25.5.1 there wasn't any changes in this area but for some unknown reasons jest doesn't burst cache properly which resulted in the changed file wasn't recompiled and re type checked.

Anyways, the implementation in 25.3.0 was a workaround and will be replaced.

Hi, what are your plans on rolling this out? Would you release this as a patch for 25.x version for those who haven't yet migrated to 26.x?

you can use ts-jest 26 with jest 25 without any issues, just you get the warning message incompatible version which will be fixed with #1774
