Recent reports of Google voices not working but Microsoft working fine

Users reporting that Google voices suddenly not working on a variety of platforms, but microsoft voices work as usual. I doubt the issue relates to easy-speech but figured I'd ask.

This depends. Google chrome actually loads some of the voice "from remote" which is a very "delicate" issue in regards to privacy but also in terms of availability.

I found that the google voices don't fire events like "start", boundary and end, resulting
in:

await EasySpeech.speak({
	text: "hello",
	voice: googleVoice,
})

to hang. it doesn't resolve or reject. All the other voices work fine.

I ended up just removing the google voices

Same issue here, I ended up filtering out all the Google voices:

  .filter(v => !/google/i.test(v.name))

It took me quite a while to track down this github issue, because it isn’t listed in the Chromium Issue Tracker. Glad to see I’m not the only one with this problem.
