Steps to reproduce

Create .gitignore file using New+

✔️ Expected Behavior

dotfiles created with leading dots

❌ Actual Behavior

When creating dotfiles with New+, for example .gitignore, file is created without leading dot in it, just gitignore. Same behaviour is even if you create entire folder with dotfiles in it.

Ah, that's a good one.

The feature to remove leading dots and numbers is what's doing this.

I think this is a case that should be supported.

I'll add this support first to New++ end of next week (New++ is available as part of Productivity Plus Pack and when you are happy with that, then I'll backport to New+ in PT).

@JM-Edgars - I'm unable to reproduce the issue in New+ and New++ Looks like I fixed this a while back.

Would you confirm using latest version PT and update here?

Yes, seems it has been fixed, I don't observe same behaviour any longer.
