Make incompatible tree item the same as no tree item in `deployWorkspaceProject`

It seems like people can accidentally pass an incompatible tree item by highlighting a tree item before issuing the deploy command:

It's probably worth adding a check on the tree item passed. If it's not a compatible tree item, maybe we can just default it to the same workflow as no tree item.
