The docs are a bit too big and heavy at the moment, and users don't seem to be reading them thoroughly to understand some of the nuances. nf-core/eager would benefit from a standalone script that checks downstream issues don't occur (e.g. lane merging lane ID conflicts, missing columns, files in BAM column have the right suffix etc.)
