CMake already handles generation of the source and header files, but having syntax and completion support for the .proto files would be handy.

I'll second this one. My lab does a lot of work with Protobuf/C++ and working with plain files has caused countless mistakes on my part.

I'd also like to vote for this. @nnmatveev you mention in the readme that it's dependent on idea.jar; does this mean that we wouldn't be able to just add CLion to the list of supported IDEs?

I developed a new plugin that supports all Jetbrains products. Current version is really simple - it suppports only syntax highlighting for proto2/proto3. More features will come in following releases.
