Hi @cmelius thanks for the contribution.
A couple of things required:

• add to .github/workflows/php.yaml
• add to .gitsplit.yml (for publishing to packagist)
• add some basic tests

If you can't or don't have capacity to add tests, we can skip that for now and hopefully somebody from the community can pitch in.
