amenity=kitchen is used to mark kitchens mostly in camp sites which are public or accessible to customers.

I think that different label is needed to ensure clarity that it is not for all kitchens, including in private homes

"public" might be a misleading label, since these facilities are often restricted to customers or private.

So perhaps "Communal Kitchen" is better?

(Note that, as far as I can tell, this tag is in use and not approved.)

"Communal Kitchen" seems okay to me as a display name for amenity=kitchen which itself seems like a reasonable tag to me.

Maybe worth also considering adding support for kitchen=(yes|no|separate) as a property tag on relevant features.

iff that makes sense and there is no issue for that - feel free to create one!

(creating issues is cheap and this one will be closed once amenity=kitchen is added or rejected entirely as idea for presets)
