@ananunan Unfortunately, attempting to disable Copilot is not effective. Despite setting it to 1.

Hi @synchro21, @ananunan and @3nprob, Thank you for the detailed report regarding "Code with Copilot Agent Mode" appearing in the UI even though it's disabled and hidden in the settings. We’ve reviewed your notes and passed this along to the relevant engineering team, where it’s now tracked internally for investigation. We appreciate your thoroughness and the time you’ve taken to help surface this. Improving reliability and user experience is a priority, and reports like yours are incredibly helpful. Thanks again for your contribution to the platform. |

How to Disable or Uninstall GitHub Copilot: Go to the Extensions tab. Search for GitHub Copilot. Click Uninstall to remove it. On GitHub Website: Go to github.com/settings/copilot Under "Copilot for you", click Disable or Cancel Subscription. If you’re on the free trial, cancelling now will stop it before any charges. If You Don’t See an Active Subscription: You might just need to uninstall the extension from your code editor. The free access in your account will simply expire without charge. |

If you wish to deactivate or entirely eliminate GitHub Copilot, perhaps because it was enabled without your explicit request, the following steps will guide you through its removal from your account and Visual Studio Code: Eliminating Copilot from VS Code If Copilot is currently active within your Visual Studio Code environment:
Disabling Copilot Within Your GitHub Account Settings Even if you don't have an active subscription, Copilot might still be configured as "enabled" in your settings:
Withdrawing Permissions (Optional) For an added layer of assurance:
(In case you simply installed the extensions, unistalling it from the extensions tab, should be fine, same applies to any other AI tool on VSCode, as Windsurf or Qodo) |

just use vs codium. fuck this m$ bullshit. you'll save yourself from future troubles. the way these fucking companies work is that once they have something good going they must fuck it up by squeezing as much as they can from it. |

I didn't ask for copilot. I tried it and didn't like it. You haded it when I didn't ask. I have the free version which I am sure will soon become paying. I want to delete Copilot. I do not want or need this. Please tell me what to do.
