I really enjoyed learning certain git commnds from scratch and seeing the whole process. I plan to continue leanring more advance techniques in git through the leaning pathway etc |

I did learn a lot, but a lot of that was due to the need to troubleshoot so many steps ;) See skills/deploy-to-azure#84 for the details of struggles a few of us have had recently. Mostly related to Azure Credentials related instructions. I also had workflow permissions issues but those may have been due to the way I had to tweak and re-run workflows. |

In the Automate your workflow with GitHub Actions Learning Path https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/paths/github-actions/ The "Enterprise" exercise https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/manage-github-actions-enterprise/exercise points to https://github.com/skills/deploy-to-azure which is the same you get when you click on the earlier module exercise for "Build and deploy applications to Azure by using GitHub Actions": https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/training/modules/github-actions-cd/3-create-workflow-deploy-azure which points to: https://github.com/skills/continuous-delivery-azure but actually redirects to: https://github.com/skills/deploy-to-azure |

Not suitable for someone new to Azure. The requirements that need to be met at the portal end are not explained. |

Course instructions seemed to pick a SKU for an Azure Virtual Machine that my subscription could not afford. All the pull requests merges succeeded--seeming to indicate that the resource creation failure was not made required to continue through the course. |

These hands-on courses are great. I've completed a good few at this stage and all worked perfectly. This one flipped an issue on Step #3 .github/workflows/spinup-destroy.yml I found a couple of issues with my own azure setup that I debugged along the way - which actually gave me more insight to how this works and how to debug it. => Unintentionally helpful :) |

The exercise could be clearer in two areas. First, the instructions say to create a PAT with Second, the Azure setup failed because the workflow uses the F1 App Service plan in East US, but my subscription had 0 quota available for F1 in that region. The error was not caused by the workflow, secrets, or Azure login. It was an Azure App Service quota issue. It would help to add a troubleshooting note explaining that if App Service creation fails with a Free/F1 VM quota error, students should check App Service quota by region and either request quota or switch |
