Dynamic upgrade solution for Third party deps

We have nuked git submodules and old npm-based third-party dependencies. we should be able to update our third-party deps dynamically and without much effort. Investigate ways to do this.

We now have gulp and package.json based dependency management. see gulpfile.js/index.js for reference. Release modification and optimizations are pending.

All essential libraries have been ported to dynamic upgrades.
The remaining libs will be moved to new dep management solution as required.
