Reason for request

I tried to log in today (it's been a while though) to pypi.org and that partially worked. Password and 2FA code were correct, but then PyPI asked me to check my mail because the device was not trusted, even though I did log in on the very same device months ago.

Unfortunately, the verification email never arrives. I tried it a couple of times, checked spam folders and our mail server settings, but all seems fine. If I send an email to the address - which is an alias btw - associated with the PyPI account from another mailbox, this arrives just fine.

It seems that my account may have to be reset (similar to #9588)?
