Currently I have to create a course each time a certificate is needed due to the dates, as this is an online course. I think the Start date and End date should be tied to the attendees certificate that way I don't have to use this workaround.
Of course for onsite training or virtual classes that happen on a specific timeframe the current situation works, so maybe when creating the course this should be an option
