Application Explorer welcome view buttons should not be enabled until extension is activated. They always appears by default right after OpenShift activity is made visible. The buttons are always enabled even if extension is not activated yet. When clicked nothing is happening. It user is logged into the cluster they disappears and replaced with cluster tree node.
There is no way to remove them completely, but they can be disabled based on context variable value.
