Be able to download assets from a draft release enable that option with a flag if it's necessary

Second this, it is an important feature, since it will allow testing the release assets before publishing the release.

In the mean time, you can use the gh CLI utility to do this, it is available in (most?) runners:

gh release download v5.0.8-rc -p 'linux-x64*'
