I replaced AF2 with AF5 for Tim8Ch1 on PB6 in the pwm module.
To my understanding this could probably be a typo.
AF5 would correlate to the correct alternate function mapping for Tim8Ch1 on PB6 according to page 47 of the following datasheet: https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/stm32f303cb.pdf
I tested that change on custom board of mine using the STM32F303CBT6.
