Use this and save yourself some precious time.
Create titlepage pdf via
pdflatex dissertation_titlepage
I then used
\includepdf[pages={1-},pagecommand={\thispagestyle{empty}}]{/path/to/dissertatio_titlepage.pdf}
in my tex document.
