Does this test suite cover Annex B?

Some tests might behave differently depending on whether Annex B is applied or not (some rules are relaxes, while others might be introduced).

In either case, I think it would be helpful if answer to this question would be stated in the repo README, or maybe Annex B dependent tests would live in their own folders.

It does (or at least is intended to). You're right, that should be noted in the readme.

I don't know that there's that much value in separating them; I'm not aware of any implementations, even just of parsers, which explicitly choose not to implement it, but if that's useful it could be done.

I somewhat agree, but earlier I thought there is no value in separating early errors from actual parsing (given how tightly they're coupled), and yet now we have parsers that choose to do so. So I think it could be useful for the future to explicitly indicate annex B too.

The difficulty with separating out Annex B is that there's no consensus currently on whether each section of Annex B is individually optional or if Annex B must be applied in its entirety if any of it is applied. Additionally, Annex B may have interactions with just about any other language feature, so even the simple case where either all or none of Annex B must be applied will require duplicating the tests.

I don't think there's much value in this proposal. Nobody chooses not to implement Annex B. And a significant portion of the committee would like Annex B to be inlined into the main spec text anyway. At the very least, we should wait until the Annex B discussion within committee reaches a conclusion.
