Release version

I've been following this project for a while because the WPF MediaElement is notoriously unstable and buggy. So far, however, I have been somewhat dissatisfied with the performance. The current beta version seems much improved and has really convinced me. However, it is still a beta version. Hence the following questions:

Is there a timetable for when the beta status will be exited and a “release” will be published? What are the current obstacles? Are there any known issues?

Sorry to bother you, but are there any plans to continue this great project? Contrary to all the naysayers, WPF is still a well-maintained framework and is receiving some major updates with .NET 10. That's why I would love to see this project continue to be developed.
