Hi @markleary, thanks for the PR. Are you able to rebase against latest master and afterwards take a look at the failing spec tests (if they even reoccur)? |

Tomcat connector protocol changed in Jira 7.3:

This will allow you to set the correct connector value (org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11NioProtocol) when using Jira 7.3 and higher.
