Latest EPUBCHECK vs Daisy ACE

Daisy demands declaring the package document language
<package … xml:lang="en">

if provided Daisy Ace see no errors

But EpubCheck sees:
Error while parsing file: attribute "xml:lang" not allowed here

if I remove it, EpubCheck is ok, but daisy is not, despite putting inside
Example 3 — Identifying the primary languages of a publication
(in both cases)

I possible, little compassion - first request from very long time. If double please refer the link, maybe there is an answear
even providing proper opf files for 2.0 and 3.0 to download would be sufficient

This has been reported before: #1553

It's an open issue to have fixed in Ace: daisy/ace#376

The problem is that OPF 2.0.1 didn't define an xml:lang attribute for the package document so you can't declare it globally, despite what Ace is checking for, and no one's going back to issue erratas on EPUB 2.
