[Bug] Kodi v22 crash when playing DRM-protected videos with ISA v22.3.8 - custom package name

Describe the problem

Since version 22.3.8 of InputStream.Adaptive, Kodi v22 crashes on Android when I try to play DRM-protected videos.
Reverting to version 22.3.6 resolves the issue.
Kodi-22 log ISA v22.3.6 OK with Android.
Kodi-22 log ISA v22.3.8 KO with Android.
Kodi-22 log ISA v22.3.8 OK with Windows.

2. Select items: Live TV / France / M6

Same here on android.
IA 2.3.7 is ok, IA 2.3.8 not.

Channel M6 is for example only. All DRM-protected video streams crash Kodi 22 with ISA 22.3.8 add-on.
You can try the 'Live / Italia / La7' channel, which doesn't require an account and isn't geoblocked.

The same error occurs with the InputStream Adaptive Sample addon.
Go to item: List DRM Widevine streams / [Manifest Dash] Axiom 1080p [CBCS]

i already tested ISA samples and also La7, but on NVIDIA shield they are played correctly
so there is something other
i will try investigate with attached logcat

The nightly build 20260218 works with ISA 22.3.8.
It seems issue provided of custom Android package name.

I compiled Kodi 22 without changing package name in version.txt file:
APP_PACKAGE org.xbmc.kodi

Result: OK

I compiled Kodi after changing the package name in version.txt file:
APP_PACKAGE org.xbmc.kodi22

Result: Kodi crashes

It's shame that it no longer available to create own Android package. It was very useful for testing different versions of Kodi.

Since ISA is not the source of issue, should I close issue?

i havent time to investigate yet

the error above its very specific to XBMCMediaDrmOnEventListener
(a thing used by ISA that to works need to be set by kodi java apk)
and the logcat show

RegisterNatives is a method called from CJNIMediaDrmOnEventListener
that register the component to XBMCMediaDrmOnEventListener

first thing make ensure that your kodi sources are updated to last upstream commit,
to ensure to have libandroidjni dependency updated, so build kodi from scratch (needs redownload updated deps)

What else? The title of the incident says all.
Since version 22.3.8, I must compile my own ISA addon after hardcoding the package name.
If need, I can provide my owns Android versions of Kodi and ISA add-on.

Patch in file libandroidjni/src/MediaDrmOnEventListener.cpp
Replace:
28: static std::string s_className = "org/xbmc/kodi/interfaces/XBMCMediaDrmOnEventListener";

By:
28: static std::string s_className = "org/xbmc/kodi22/interfaces/XBMCMediaDrmOnEventListener";

@joseluismarti have you some idea about a better solution?
if a custom package name is provided its needed to construct the class name with the correct package name
do wyou think there is a better way to retrieve the package name when building?

by inspecting old ISA jni files i think to have understood the problem

previously was used GetBaseClassName to construct the class name from ISA jni custom code

so this bug was already present but never verified, since this component is only used by addon and not by Kodi itself the problem seem remained hidden
