[Feature Request]: Ability to Organize and Edit the Topic categories found in the Home section #5634
Description
Describe the feature you'd like to request
Currently, youtube's algorithm automatically creates "Topics" (usually found at the top of the home screen) where it displays videos dealing with the same subject matter that a user has viewed before. Along with this, Youtube also places "Recommended" videos, “Recently uploaded" videos and "New To You" videos, which are where users are likely to find new content to watch. Unfortunately, these topics are buried under other topics so they are a chore to get to. Even worse, the topics get re-organized and shuffled everytime the application is re-opened so users don't know what topic will display.
Describe the solution you'd like
By introducing the ability to move and edit these topics on the Home section of the app, users can freely move up the topics that they most likely want to see when they open the Home page or move down the topics they are less interested in seeing. Further more, the ability to "pin" certain topics would ensure that users would be able to see the topics they expect to see when they open the application instead of a"jack-in-the-box" shuffling on every re-open.
Describe alternatives you've considered
At the time of this ticket, there is no method to organize the topics available in the SmartTubeNext app as it pulls the topics from the youtube algorithm by default, which results in a very disorganized/cluttered home page.
