Thoroughly test all powerlevel10k configs to get to bottom of hanging cases

powerlevel10k is used by ~6% of our macOS users, which ends up being a decent number of users despite the low percentage and there are certain configs that seem to break assumptions around shell integration and cause copilot to hang. Plan is to test all configs to identify the problem ones once and for all and then:

• See if we can fix them
• Mitigate the issues in other ways:
  • Consider adding a warning when powerlevel10k is used #271700
  • Detect hanging and disable shell integration #268339

Update:

• This problem actually affected more than just powerlevel10k and macOS due to Prompt type detection incorrectly causes command detection to be enabled #271980
• The fix is expected to land in v1.106 stable or insiders on the 20th of October

  • Configure p10k with the simplest setup except for the config specified
  • Kill all terminals
  • Open Copilot chat

  • Run ls, SI decorations and sequence locations are correct
  • Run fake, SI decorations and sequence locations are correct
• Test B
  • Ask Run in terminal: ls
  • Ask Run in terminal: sleep 5
  • Ask Run in terminal: ls && sleep 5

General notes:

• 1s basic SI delay across all as expected
• A resize often occurs early, causing right prompt to be off for first prompt
• Created Investigate SIGINT from PromptInputModel being incorrectly used in chat terminal tool result #271902 for the SIGINT problem
