Questions to be Implemented

The hardest part of adding questions to this repository is determining what each question is. If anyone wants to contribute, they could comment what each question/icon from the show represents. You could do this by combing through the show, the podcast, the trailer, or some other method. Here is the list of questions that I pieced together from their icons and if they were implemented:

  • Same zone (i.e., same region or prefecture)
  • Nearest Shinkansen
  • Nearest prefecture (OSM admin_level=4) starts with the same letter (I'll implement this for all OSM levels)
  • Same train line (relies on Train Station Fetching #24 and aspects of Feature Request: Importing map overlay #20) (this implementation is really bad, read 8ceae21)
  • Train station starts with same letter (relies on Train Station Fetching #24)
  • Same commercial airport
  • Is your closest major city the same as mine? (I'm defining this as a city with a population greater than 1,000,000 as that fits the cities shown in episode 7)
  • Same length of station's name (relies on Train Station Fetching #24)
  • Same land mass (thanks @magnarn)
• Measuring
  • Distance to commercial airport
  • Distance to Shinkansen (high-speed)
  • Distance to coastline
  • Distance to body of water
  • Distance off sea level
  • Distance to rail station
  • Distance to McDonalds
  • Distance to 7/11
  • Distance to major city (same classification as above)
  • Distance to land mass (thanks @magnarn)
  • What are the other 2? (tree icon, ladder icon)

  • Zoo (15 mile)

Note for the matching question "same length of station name", according to the season 13.5 NYC special, this question doesn't just tell whether the hider's station name is different in length, but also whether it's shorter or longer than the seeker's.

Thanks, I added that to the list. That question is relatively difficult to implement, but I'll try to when I get a chance.

I'll try to modify the question to enable that. It is somewhat difficult with backwards compatibility, but it should be possible. Sorry for the delay in answering.

Unless I'm missing something, this is also currently missing administrative division borders as a measuring question.

I also don't see Street or Path as an option in matching questions.
